I saw a meteorite!

On Saturday night I took Ally over to a party on the south side and when I got home it was about nine o'clock. We decided to watch the film "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" (James' choice - it turned out to be a bit dreary in my opinion). Not long after we started watching it something outside the French windows caught my eye and I looked up to see a bright light in the sky, in fact it looked like flames. I said to James "Look outside, are those flames?" but the light had disappeared by then and he didn't see anything. I forgot about it until just now when I saw this on the BBC news website:

"Meteorite prompts police calls
Police forces say have they received a number of calls reporting what is believed to have been a meteorite.
Reports of a "bright light" and an "orange glow" came in across the north of England and Scotland at about 21:40 GMT amid fears a plane had crashed."
The Met Office tweeted: "Hi All, for anyone seeing something in the night sky, we believe it was a meteorite.""

I am so excited, that must have been what I saw!
