Well now we have another storm called Storm Boelo and this one really is very windy as well as rainy. As I lie here in bed the gusts of wind outside are so fierce that the cats keep staring at the windows. It is a momentous day at Casa Anderson because we have made the move to our winter duvet! And the clocks will go back tonight.
We made the most of this miserable weather today and did some batch cooking. I made vast quantities of boeuf bourgignon and James made four times quantities of his signature vegetable curry. In a moment of carelessness I grasped the metal handle of my one of big casseroles just after I took it out of the oven. It burned my hand sorely so I ran it under tepid water for about twenty minutes, but it was still painful. I put germolene on it and bandaged it up, which helped considerably. We had some of the vegetable curry for dinner and it was delicious.
